Leon Barnes, pulpit minister for Central church of Christ in Little Rock, Arkansas.  I grew up in Vernon, Alabama and married Linda Randolph back in September of 1964.  I went to Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, Tennessee and have been preaching since January of 1965.  Most of those years have been spent in the Little Rock area.  We moved here with our three daughters in 1973 from Hatley, Mississippi.  For 16 years I preached for the Levy congregation in North Little Rock and have been with Central since October of 1993.  It was the Barrow Road congregation at that time.  In 2003 we moved as a congregation to downtown Little Rock.

We have been blessed with nine grandchildren.  I’ve written 19 books along the way.

Hi. We are looking to purchase the Challenges for Christians (studies in Corinthians) books and I wondered if you might be able to tell me where to purchase some? Thanks

    • Certainly. I’m glad you are interested in them. They are published by Gospel Light in Delight, AR and are available through them at any time. Several bookstores carry them, but I suspect the quickest way to get them would be to call Gospel Light. Make sure it is the Gospel Light in Arkansas rather than the other one or you won’t find what you are looking for.

Leon, I have heard you on a few occasions refer to the snake (or serpent) in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3) as being Satan himself in the form of a snake. Could you please share with me the Scriptural reference or passages that tell you that? Thank you.
